Chatsworth Road Market will be open every Sunday from 12 June from 11am to 4pm after the success of the trial markets.

Chatsworth Road Traders and Residents Association (CRTRA) are working with Hackney Council to bring the market back to its former glory.

The market is situated between Dunlace Road and Blurton Road in Lower Clapton, already has 30 stalls selling various items with cooked food, vintage clothing and home items, baby clothing and jewellery amongst them. A good percentage of locally-sourced goods and products can be found so residents can buy in-season fruit and vegetables or a unique piece of jewellery while supporting the local economy.

I am really intrigued by this market, the atmosphere is good and the buzz sensational.
I remember walking down this road as a lad in the eighties when there were also stalls, Brenda had a fruit n veg stall, the locksmiths. I have asked one of the stall keepers about where I can find out about how to start a stall, I make freshly baked breads and authentic refshments and interested in obtaining a stall. I will be moving into this borough very shortly. Please give me some info.

    Hi Gino,

Thanks for your comment – it would be great to see some photos of the market back then if you have them!
