What would bringing back the market mean to people who earn their living on Chatsworth Road?
I grew up and lived very close to Chatsworth Road for 27 years until 1977 when I moved to Australia, and miss the London markets. It was lovely to visit Chatsworth Road weekly to do my shopping, where there was a wonderful atmosphere, and I would get such bargains in shoes and material, and the wonderful food stalls with the characters. I remember the eel stall, the fish shop, the wonderful aromas and cakes from Carringtons the bakers opposite Rushmore Road school.
I say bring back the market.
