In October 2011, Brazilian photographer Guilherme Zauith held an exhibition in the then vacant dentist at 33 Chatsworth Road. He was exhibiting six months work of photos he had been taking for us to try and capture the diversity and contrasts of an area that was rapidly changing.  We asked him to try and capture the essence of what made Chatsworth Road special. Here is a selection of these photos.

In his own words, “It was great getting to know people in the area; it was like going to a different place every time. One week I was photographing a local boxer, the other a Turkish family or Caribbean musicians. From pimps to lawyers I have never found any barrier there. Everybody wanted to be photographed and seemed proud to have their pictures taken.”

You can see more of his work in E5 and beyond or get in touch with him through his website
