Vacancy for Sunday market set-up crew

We’re growing! As a result we’re looking for a hard working, physically fit individual to join the Chatsworth Road market set-up crew.

The crew are responsible for setting up the stalls on a Sunday morning to a pre-planned layout. Once the market is over they then take them down and pack them away. Whilst trolleys are used to move the stalls it is physical work involving lifting of heavy steel frames, weights and gazebos and would ideally suit someone who prefers to get paid for an outdoor physical workout rather than going to the gym!

The morning start time is 8.00 am sharp finishing around 10.00 am and breakdown starts at 4:00 pm sharp and is finished by around 5:30 pm and is every Sunday – whatever the weather! These two shifts constitute a day’s work.

This is a critical role and reliability is key, no stalls = no market and that disappoints traders and visitors alike. You will be joining a small but growing team and also have the opportunity to get involved in your community through other events we organise like the Chatsworth Road Festival.

Pay: Due to the hard nature of the work for this role we are paying £70 per day (Sunday shift).
