Run Hackney – road closures (10 May)

Vitality Run Hackney Half Marathon will be taking place on the morning of Sunday 10 May 2015.  Now in its second year, this exciting event expects to attract around 13,000 runners to the London Borough of Hackney.

Many roads local to Chatsworth Road will be closed or restricted access for part of the day along with some bus routes. Look out for the parking restrictions and road closure signs around the area.

Parking suspensions have been applied for on the roads marked above and will be in place from 9pm on Saturday 9 May until 2pm on Sunday 10 May.

Road closures will be in operation from 7am and will re-open once all runners have passed by, and when it is safe and feasible to do so. The race starts at 9am and roads will officially begin to re-open from 11:30am with all being fully re-opened by 2pm.

Please do allow extra time for your journey, and where possible, avoid driving in the area during the closure period. If you do need to drive your vehicle on the morning of Sunday 10th May, please consider parking vehicles on alternative streets on the evening of Saturday 9 May, to enable you to carry out your journey. Please note that a number of local bus services will also be subject to diversions throughout the morning – please check www.tfl.gov.uk for further information.

The shops and market will be open as usual and the full route for the race can be seen below.
